Echo is honorable and compassionate. She is an optimist who joined the Wittgenstein with the hope of creating an ideal pocket society that can help IASA. She doesn't see man as flawless, if pressed on her religious beliefs, might even mention Original Sin. But she thinks that the trend of humanity has been to progress towards the greater good. Those seeking to understand society need only look at the classical writings on it, and from Cicero, Aristotle, or any other classical thinkers (even extending into the modern ages to Burke or Locke), can find moral guidance to rule. She wants her rulers to be as she is: valuing tradition, inquisitive and kind, and considerate of the greater good.
Echo favors tradition. This isn't to say that she doesn't feel her specimens have a place in block politics, but that she was given the post as leader and she can best work in their interests and on their input. It may come a point in time wherein Echo appoints someone to lead in her stead, but thinks that vying for power is counterproductive to smooth ruling. What she prefers to see is people contributing insights based on their experience and education to a centralized power, whether her, or her representative.
For Echo, the greatest good that mankind has and can learn from is Education. It is at her request that the specimens have a library, and she in charge of schooling for specimens who are either under the age of 18 or looking to continue their education. Post-secondary studies must be undertaken at the specimen's request, but Echo is actually somewhat of a renaissance woman when it comes to subjects they might wish to undertake. From time to time, Echo block may additionally host open or closed seminars on topics which may prove relevant to future worlds (or just are interesting to Echo).
She is not the most interactive scientist. In fact, those outside of her block or not taking education from her may never speak to her at all. But she engages most favorably with those who enthusiastically wish to learn. She values honest effort as much, if not more than, success and while she keeps morality in mind, understands that her specimens may arrive at different ends than she might, and that's interesting. Until someone is getting hurt or silenced, she's unlikely to engage.
